Songwriting: Creative Process

Like any writing task, songwriting requires creativity and self expression. While this may come easy to some, creativity is a skill that can be enhanced. You’ll look at creativity as a concept in this course, before focusing on how to apply good creative practices to your own songwriting. From idea generation and breaking out of your musical comfort zone, to exploring deeper topics in your writing, all are necessary if you want to become a highly skilled creative songwriter.

Our Songwriting: The Creative Process course takes a deeper look at you as a songwriter and creative, so it’s important you have a solid grasp of songwritng techniques before you start. That way you can effectively apply new creative practices to your songwriting, so we recommend completing our Songwriting: The Basics course first before you start expanding your creative skills.
